Q: What if my partner is the problem and they won’t go into therapy?
A: We can’t always know what’s best for others, even when what we experience is painful to us. What we can do is to have the courage to change ourselves.
Q: I’m no stranger to Therapy. How is this going to be different?
A: The advantage of my approach is that it tends to benefit persons who have had previous therapy experience. The approach integrates all previous experiences to help create a sense of clarity, with a focus on problem resolution.
Q: Do you work with executives and high profile clients?
A: Yes. I work with executives and high profile clients who may experience unique pressures and situations.
Q: I have heard that you teach Existential Discourse for personal and spiritual development. Does that mean I am “in therapy?”
A: My existential approach is woven into how I work as a psychotherapist. Existential Discourse is not therapy, so much as a challenging, experiential, and interactive education (psychoeducation). Because this education works at the identity level and can have profound change, it still falls into the category of therapy.
Q: Do you take insurance?
A: I do not take insurance. However, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.
Q: Do you see couples and families?
A: Yes, I work with couples and, occasionally, families.
Q: Do you offer Choice Theory® counseling?
A: Yes. I have a Choice Theory certification (CTRTC) from the William Glasser Institute and can offer Choice Theory counseling.
